Amodagarh

Even in the nineteenth century books written by famous naturalist Captain J. Forsyth or in the early twentieth century by Rudyard Kipling in his book Jungle Book, the detail panorama of this magnificent area is mentioned.

One of the key attractions of Pench National Park is the considerable number of tigers finding their abode here. This is all the more because the prey concentration in this area is quite high. The majorly seen animals in this area includes leopards, jungle cats, Indian civets, palm civets, wild dogs in a lot of ten or twelve, wild boar etc. Bodanala, Chhedia, Jamtara and Pyorthadi areas of the park remains majorly concentrated with wild animals. There are sloth bear which are mostly present in the hilly areas and areas where there are mehul bel forests. Chinkara and Jackals are also found in specified areas. The park has several good resorts which attract people to have a wonderful and entertaining time here.
